Choosing a colour

Which rose colour should I choose?

Red for romance and declaration. Pink for affection, gratitude and gentler occasions. White for sympathy, weddings and new beginnings. Yellow and orange for friendship, congratulation and celebration. Black, blue and purple read as striking and unconventional — chosen for impact rather than convention. Our rose colour meaning guide goes through each in detail.

Are black and blue roses real?

They are real Ecuadorian roses, coloured during the preservation process rather than grown that way — no rose grows naturally black or true blue. Because the colour is achieved through preservation, black and blue are available only as Infinite Roses®, not as fresh Classic Roses.

Does every colour come in both fresh and preserved?

Most do. Fresh Classic Roses cover the natural range — reds, pinks, whites, creams, yellows and oranges. Infinite Roses® cover that range and add the shades that only preservation makes possible, including black, royal blue and fluorescent green. Fresh arrangements start at £75; Infinite Roses from £150.

Can I combine colours in one arrangement?

Yes. Many of our arrangements are offered in tonal groupings — pastel, bright, light and dark — which blend several shades into one composition. For a specific combination, our bespoke service can build to your palette.
